So, we all know that the stagnant water in New Orleans is toxic.

Does anyone know if they have a plan in place that would treat the water at some point before it all goes out (eventually) into the Gulf of Mexico? I ask because that region has one of the most fragile underwater ecosystems in the world, housing many different types of nearly extinct creatures.
